Scalerator NEO Gaining Momentum, Recruiting for Fourth Cohort
"We've grown that business year to date... 18%... In our market it typically grows no more than 3-5% growth, so that is really great performance!"
- Ron Zieske, CEO, Heat Seal
Scalerator NEO, a regional support program for companies with revenue between $5 million and $15 million, is currently recruiting 14-16 companies for a fourth cohort. Companies that graduated from cohorts 1 and 2 continue to grow collectively at over 20% a year. While Scalerator NEO cannot take all the credit, program alumni underscore the role the program has played in their success, reporting growth even before the conclusion of the program. Current participants in cohort 3 have reported monthly growth in numerous categories including increased customer base, new hires, significant topline growth, and increased profitability.
Cohort 4 of Scalerator NEO will be held at Akron's Bounce Innovation Hub beginning in April 2020. Facilitated by an internationally recognized team based at Babson College, the focus of the six-month program is on leveraging customers, capacity and cash to help those companies that “choose” to grow. This educational program is free to participating companies thanks to the Fasenmyer Fund at Burton D. Morgan Foundation and direct Foundation support.
The program is open to all industry sectors but does not accept competing companies. Each company brings a leadership team to monthly workshops to work on real company issues. Scalerator NEO companies have come from Cuyahoga, Lake, Summit, Portage, Lorain, Geauga, Wayne, Medina, and Stark counties in industries such as IT, construction, manufacturing, and staffing.
