Grant Process Change
Burton D. Morgan Foundation is announcing a change to the way we handle requests for small grants ($20,000 and under.)
In 2017, Morgan Foundation modified its grantmaking procedures, making all grant applications subject to deadlines, including requests for $20,000 and under, which had previously been received and decided on a rolling basis.
Upon evaluation of this process, we have deemed this a failed experiment and have decided to pivot. To streamline grant processes and increase the adaptive capacity of grantees, the Foundation is reinstating rolling deadlines and decision-making.
Effective February 15, 2019, applicants requesting $20,000 or less may submit an application at any time and it will be evaluated on a rolling basis, typically four to six weeks.
This shift in policy WILL apply to applications that were received by the Foundation by the February 15 deadline.
