Jennifer Nenadov participated in the Systems for Integrated Growth (SIG) program this summer and the Leadership Retreat earlier this month, offered free of charge to qualified participants via a partnership between Burton D. Morgan Foundation and the Edward Lowe Foundation.
Can you share your thoughts and key takeaways about the foundation-sponsored entrepreneurship programming you have participated in?
"SIG helped us home in on our sales messaging, marketing strategies, and prospect targets. We also established a formal Discovery Phase into our consulting services which has allowed us to identify serious buyers and move through the sales cycle with more urgency.
The Leadership Retreat was inspiring and refreshing. To be in a room filled with like-minded, resilient entrepreneurs gave a new sense of confidence that what our business sets out to achieve is both possible and worthwhile."
Please tell us about any benefits growth, or key wins you've experienced since participating in these programs.
"By incorporating our Discovery Phase at the beginning of Q3, we've secured 5 new client relationships which all have the potential to grow beyond their initial project engagements. Our strategy is to get initial wins, and then expand our client relationships to grow both by "share of wallet" and net new clients."
What are your goals for the next twelve months?
"My goals are to double our annual revenue and to land 3-5 new clients each quarter."
What is your favorite quote?
"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. - Anne Lamott"
What is the last book you read?
"The last book I read is Mostly What God Does: Reflections on Seeking and Finding His Love Everywhere by Savannah Guthrie. One of my favorites is The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: by John Mark Comer, and I'm currently reading Reframing Foster Care: by Jason Johnson."
What advice do you have for budding entrepreneurs"?
"Don't let 'what ifs' or what others might say or think stand in the way of doing something courageous. There are so many people who want to help you succeed and get connected. If those people aren't in your current sphere of influence, then start finding new people to be around."
