Morgan Foundations Connect at House Three Thirty
On September 17, the staff and trustees of Burton D. Morgan Foundation and Peg’s Foundation gathered at House Three Thirty in Akron for an evening filled with camaraderie and inspiration.
The event kicked off with a tour of the facility, featuring the inspiring LeBron James Museum. The evening culminated in a reception at The Den, a stunning gathering space in the lower level of the former Tangier, now beautifully re-imagined by the LeBron James Family Foundation as an innovative, multi-use facility.
Although the neighboring foundations were both originated by Burt and Peg Morgan, we seldom collaborate due to differing missions. Burton D. Morgan Foundation focuses on fostering free enterprise and entrepreneurship, while Peg's Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with serious mental illness, as well as education, and the arts.
Burt's grandsons, Mark Robeson and Keith Riley were present to express their enthusiasm about the foundations coming together. Mark, a Trustee of Burton D. Morgan Foundation and Keith, who has served on the board of Peg's Foundation, shared their excitement about this unique opportunity.
This gathering provided a valuable chance to strengthen the bonds between our organizations and explore how the intersection of our missions could lead to meaningful collaboration.
