Summit County COVID-19 Small Business Emergency Relief Grant Program
Summit County and the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce have partnered to offer emergency relief to small businesses as the coronavirus pandemic continues. The program will provide $5,000 grants to eligible small businesses. Funds in excess of $1.2 million have been committed to the grant program with a combination of general fund dollars and Community Development Block Grant funds. Summit County is leading this investment with more than $750,000 committed. The City of Akron has committed $100,000 and Jump Start in collaboration and partnership with the KeyBank Boost and Build Program (https://boostandbuild.org/) has also committed $100K. In addition, a number of communities including Barberton, Bath Township, Copley Township, Coventry, Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Green, Mogadore, Norton, and Tallmadge have also committed funds to the grant program.
